9 Mar – Joshua Garcia has dismissed having ever made any statement regarding former onscreen partner Julia Barretto's recent relationship announcement.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actor, who supposedly congratulated Barretto and her boyfriend Gerald Anderson on Facebook, posted an Instagram Story stating that the account that had posted the congratulatory message was not his own.

"[For your information], this one is not mine and I don't have any active Facebook account. Kindly spread the info. Thank you," he posted.

The clarification had since sparked speculations that the actor is distancing himself from Barretto's love life once and for all.

It was only last month that the former love team known as JoshLia made headlines for starring in Moira del Torre's music video for "Paubaya", in which the two appeared to have closure as they exchanged apologies they had written themselves.

Back on 7 March, Barretto posted for the first time a photo of her with Anderson to wish the actor a happy birthday, and officially confirm rumours of their relationship.

The confirmation came nearly two years after Barretto was dragged into Anderson's bad breakup with actress Bea Alonzo, with many accusing her of being the third party in the couple's relationship.
