JoshLia excited for FAMAS' nominations
25 May – Julia Barretto couldn't help but express excitement over her and Joshua Garcia's nominations at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS).
The actress, who shared a photo of her and Garcia with their nomination plaques recently, wrote, "Excuse our faces! We're just really happy to have received our plaques for being nominated as FAMAS Best Actress & Best Actor!"
"Win or lose, it is an [honour] to have been nominated alongside amazing actresses! Thank you FAMAS for throwing a party for all the nominees and making everyone feel like a winner and equally appreciated," she added.
Both stars are nominated for their role in the 2017 movie, "Love You to the Stars And Back".
Barretto will be facing competition from seasoned stars like Gloria Diaz ("Si Chedeng At Si Apple"), Agot Isidro ("Changing Partners"), and Iza Calzado ("Bliss"), while Garcia will have to beat acting giants such as Allen Dizon ("Bomba"), Timothy Castillo ("Neomanila"), and Dingdong Dantes ("Seven Sundays").
On the other hand, "Love You to the Stars and Back" is also nominated for Best Picture and Best Director for Antoinette Jadaone.
The upcoming FAMAS Awards Night will be held at The Theatre, Solaire on 10 June.
