To be honest, we can’t quite think of anything talk show-related that gets us as excited as seeing two of our favorite TV hosts pull off a highly-anticipated televised bro moment that turned out be just as entertaining as one could expect from the reunion between Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

Brothers in comedic takedowns, Stewart and Colbert teamed up on The Late Show during the live coverage of the Republican National Convention on Thursday and, let us assure you, the momentous occasion definitely did not disappoint.

After expressing glee over the announcement that FOX News CEO Roger Ailes resigned amidst sexual harassment accusations, Colbert invited Stewart (who emerged from beneath the desk Oscar the Grouch-style sporting his post-Daily Show beard) to join him in a bit of shameless schadenfreude over the former network exec’s troubles. Obviously, Stewart obliged, and then he showed us why we all absolutely love him by proceeding to sort out some of the ongoing election fuckery in a manner that only he can.

This is the moment we knew we were really in for a treat:

Seriously, Stewart’s marvelously thorough disassembly of FOX News’ pro-Trump stance was eloquent, chock full of video evidence to support his claims, and yes, funny as hell.

Just before he cursed on live TV (oops), Stewart treated us to this mic drop-worthy summation:

“You feel that you are this country’s rightful owners. There’s only one problem with that: This country isn’t yours. You don’t own it. It never was.”

*slow claps and fangirls profusely*
