Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen Are Getting Pretty Cozy in This First Look at 'Game of Thrones' Season Eight

From Esquire

Yes, it's been more than a year since Game of Thrones Season Seven ended, but I assure you the show will someday return for the eighth and final season. This week we're one step closer, as Entertainment Weekly has revealed its new cover, which includes the first look at season eight.

When we last left Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, they were hooking up on a sexy boat cruise as the audience learned these two love birds were nephew and aunt, respectively. That is both sad and creepy!

In this new image, the two are looking pretty cozy, hugging close on a snowy background. Can someone please tell them they're related?

Anyway, the EW story doesn't reveal much, but co-executive producer Bryan Cogman tells the magazine that the upcoming season is “about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death. It’s an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honors very much what [author George R.R. Martin] set out to do - which is flipping this kind of story on its head.”

If they're trying to do a George R.R. Martin thing and flip the story on its head, maybe the best move is to let the White Walkers win.
