Johnny Depp is being sued by the location manager of his latest movie, who claims the actor assaulted him when he tried to wrap up a day’s filming in Los Angeles.

Gregg ‘Rocky’ Brooks claims that Depp punched him twice in the ribs, before saying: “I will give you 100,000 dollars to punch me in the face right now.”

He also accuses Depp of using drugs on set and ‘reeking of alcohol’ during the alleged altercation.

Brooks says that the assault happened while shooting scenes for the film City of Lies, about the murder of the rapper Notorious B.I.G., outside the Barclay Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The production had a permission to film until 7pm outside the hotel, and up to 10pm inside, but when production had overran its permit, Brooks says that he was told by director Brad Furman: “Why don’t you tell that to Johnny Depp.”

After trying to find the the off-duty sheriff’s deputy who was serving as on-set security, it’s said that Depp found him first.

Brooks says that Depp then verbally abused him, shouting: “Who the f*** are you? You have no right to tell me what to do!

“I don’t give a f*** who you are and you can’t tell me what to do.”

It’s then that Brooks says Depp punched him twice in the ribs, before offering him $100,000 to hit him back.

The court documents say that after returning to work the following Monday, Brooks was told by a producer to sign a written declaration that he would not sue over the incident.

When he refused, he says he was fired on the spot.

The lawsuit claims that Brooks has suffered humiliation, wrongful termination, physical and mental pain, and that the producers of the film should have known that Depp was using alcohol and drugs, and had become a threat to the wellbeing of those working on set.

It’s the latest incident in a tumultuous period for the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

He’s suing – and being counter-sued by – his former management company over alleged misuse of his assets which, according to reports, have left him in financial dire straits.

A recent profile in Rolling Stone magazine, in which Depp wished to expose ‘the truth’ about his current predicament, instead painted a picture of an isolated, tragic figure, struggling with money and personal issues.
