Filmmaker John Woo's film "Face/Off" is getting a remake!

11 Sep – Paramount Pictures recently announced that it is working on rebooting the John Woo film, "Face/Off".

As reported on On CC, the remake will be written by Oren Uziel ("22 Jump Street", "The Cloverfield Paradox") with Neil Moritz producing, though no news whether Woo himself will be involved in the project.

The original 1997 film was Woo's third Hollywood project following "Hard Target" and "Broken Arrow".

The film stars John Travolta as FBI agent Sean Archer who agrees to undergo facial transplant surgery and taking the face of nemesis Castor Troy (Nicholas Cage) in an attempt to stop the latter's bomb attack.

On the other hand, it was reported that Woo's hit '80s Hong Kong film, "The Killer" will also be remade into a Hollywood version starring Lupita Nyong'o.
