John Legend’s Twitter got hacked, and of course he took it in stride
While getting ready to perform two songs from his movie La La Land at the 2017 Oscars, John Legend got an unwelcome surprise. Someone had hacked his Twitter account and tweeted inappropriate things to his millions of followers. While most people would be understandably frustrated, Legend was incredibly cool about it. Needless to say, his humor and willingness to laugh things off is part of why we love him so much!
His wife, social media Queen Chrissy Teigen, was among the first to notice!

Chrissy was so amused, she posted a screenshot immortalizing the hacked bio on her on Twitter account.

We love them so much as a couple. And there’s seriously nothing this awesome duo can’t laugh at! We’re always amazed at how easily they can brush things off with humor. While the content is totally inappropriate, you’ve got to hand it to Teigen. She’s the one of the few people in the world who could turn an ugly Twitter hack into a delightful joke!
According to US, the tweets were all pretty inappropriate. Many of them were threats or mean things directed to specific people Needless to say, it was clearly not Legend at the wheel.
Once he regained control of his account, John had some pretty amusing takes on the hack.
I'm back. My hacker was vulgar and kinda hilarious. I'll try to be funnier from now on so he won't feel the need to ghost write for me.

I would never threaten violence to the President. No matter how much I wish he would go away.

I wouldn't call him a Cheeto because I enjoy Cheetos.

I did call him Liar-In-Chief. Then my hacker took over to do the Angrier John version of it all.

My hacker's assessment of my endowment was confusing. Big in the tweet about Hillary. Small in the bio. Make up your mind, hacker.

We love Legend’s take on all of this. Even though he could have totally been mad about this breach of privacy, he doesn’t seem like he really was. He just laughed it off and took it in stride.
We seriously hope they’re celebrating with a bowl of well deserved Cheetos right now!
