John Cleese to perform stand-up show in Singapore on 8 Jan 2022
British comedy icon John Cleese will kick off his international tour for his new stand-up show with a one-night performance in Singapore on 8 January 2022.
The live comedy act titled "Why There Is No Hope" will be staged at The Star Performing Arts Centre.
The Monty Python star will riff about issues including woke culture, divorce, and comedy. Promoter Live Nation said the performance would be an intimate show that's part talk and part stand-up comedy, with the addition of a question-and-answer session.
Tickets are priced at S$188, S$158, and S$128 and will go on sale to the general public beginning 3 December at 10am via the Ticketmaster website and hotline.
Cleese is best known for Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers and A Fish Called Wanda. He can currently be seen in the movies Clifford The Big Red Dog and Father Christmas Is Back.
He last performed in Singapore in 2014 in his show An Evening With John Cleese.
