23 Apr – Hong Kong singer Joey Yung has always wanted to start her own business, but is too worried about losing money to start.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer admitted to such during her appearance at the Weibo Starlight Awards, where she accepted the award for Most Influential Singer of the year.
"I had planned to open up a Vietnamese restaurant before. But I was too worried about expensive rents, manpower, and losing sleep over the business," she said.
Joey stated that good friend Hins Cheung even invited her to invest in his business.
"But my mother takes care of my money and I don't know how to explain it. I also didn't want money issues to cause conflict among friends, so I finally decided not to do it," she said.
On the other hand, Joey said that she is honoured to receive such an accolade at the event.
"I hope I can bring more happiness and positivity to other people. I will learn from my seniors Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung," she said.
