Joey Wang sues tabloids
10 Sep – It was reported that '80s top star, Joey Wang has filed a legal suit against Next Media and its publications for defamation of character.
According to Apple Daily website, the actress has recently filed the suit with the superior court against the company, stating that from 23 to 29 August, the company's Apple Daily, Face and Next Magazine have published articles that caused damage to her reputation and career.
The "City Hunter" actress also demanded that the court issue an injunction against the aforementioned publications from producing more slandering articles online and in print, as well as demanding compensations for the damage done.
Joey clarifies that she has never had any plastic surgery or even Botox done to her appearance, no plans to return to the Hong Kong entertainment industry nor was she back for any job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the actress has recently returned home to Canada.
