Joe Ma pays heavy attention to physical training for new series
13 Jul – It looks like Joe Ma is physically prepared to film his new drama with Shaw Brothers, "Flying Tiger 3", showing off his tanned and muscled arms while going shopping with wife and their son Ma Xiang recently.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who stopped and spoke for a bit with the media, shared that he would not dare neglect his physical training in preparation for the series, seeing that he has to carry heavy equipment and do lots of strenuous scenes.
"The weather is very hot, and you have to be physically capable to do an action series. This time I am shooting with Shaw Brothers, but the full schedule is not yet known," he said.
Joe also revealed that he has been training with son Ma Xiang.
"Since my son is a swimmer, I gave him the responsibility to help me with my physical fitness," he said.
The actor, who is also a vegetarian, added that he also cooks his own food and will make sure to prepare enough water for hydration throughout filming so not to suffer heat stroke and cause issues for the production.
