Joe Jonas Addresses Sophie Turner Divorce on Stage, Saying "It's Been a Crazy Week"
Joe Jonas addressed his divorce from Sophie Turner on stage over the weekend, telling fans at Dodger Stadium that "it's been a crazy week." He also added, “I just wanna say, look—if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it, okay?" before saying “Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys.”
Just FYI his comments asking fans not to "believe" reports about the split comes after TMZ dropped claims from a source alleging that Joe was "less than supportive" of Sophie following the birth of their second child. Their source also said that Joe pressured Sophie into going to events before she was ready despite her making it "clear she was uncomfortable and didn't want to be there." Soooo...yeah.
Annnyway, Joe also sang "Hesitate" on stage (a song he wrote about Sophie), getting visibly emotional throughout:
Joe and Sophie previously released a joint statement confirming their split on Instagram, saying, "Statement from the two of us: 'After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."
FYI, a source previously told People that "They were not separated but they've been living separate lives for months," and that they "haven't gotten along in a while, but they're hoping to resolve this all amicably."
