Jodi Sta Maria: To be nominated is already an honour

The actress expresses her happiness to be nominated in the International Emmy

29 Sep - Jodi Sta Maria admitted that she is honoured and very much delighted to be nominated in the Best Actress category at the upcoming International Emmy Awards.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who was nominated for her performance as Amor Powers in the remake of the 2000 drama, "Pangako Sa 'Yo", stated that being internationally recognised has always been her dream.

"I am really thankful for the opportunity. We Filipinos have been recognised in the International Emmys," she enthused.

When mentioned that Dame Judi Dench, the award-winning British actress, is also nominated in the category, Sta Maria stated that being in the same category with the great star is already an honour for her.

"Winning would be a huge bonus, but I am just as happy with the fact that I am nominated," she added.

The International Emmy Awards 2016 will be held in New York City on 21 November.
