"Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love," she wrote in a post on Instagram. "He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early - which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful."

The couple first announced the good news on Twitter, with Chip, 43, declaring, “The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger!”

He added that their son has, “10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great!”

The Fixer Upper alums revealed they were expecting in January, and have been providing updates about baby number five along the way, including how they conceived their little one, their plans for his name, and how they told their kids.

"I had all these onesies out that [said] ‘big brother’ and ‘big sister’ and I made them turn around and look at it. And it took them all a second to figure what the heck it was about," Joanna told CountryLiving.com in April. “They were so excited, and I think that’s what makes me the most excited-that they’re celebrating with us."

Their young ones continued to celebrate their youngest sibling even at the hospital, where the foursome set up camp right outside their mom's room.

"One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. They couldn't wait to meet their new baby brother," she said in a second picture posted to social media on Saturday.

Their latest bundle of joy was also another indication that it was the right time to leave their hit series behind.

“When we found out, it solidified that it was the right decision to leave when we did,” Joanna told People.

And now that he’s finally here, the mom of five is looking forward to a little R&R at their family’s farmhouse in Waco, Texas.

“For me, it’s just hunkering down and spending as much time at home as I can," she told CountryLiving.com. "I feel like [I'm] figuring out how to be a mom to a newborn again."
