Joanna Gaines Acknowledges "Mistakes and Mishaps" in Emotional Instagram Post
Chip and Joanna Gaines are celebrating 20 years of Magnolia this year. The pair threw a huge party at the iconic Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas, last week to mark the momentous occasion and share the milestone with fans. The Gaineses originally opened their store, Magnolia Market, back in 2003, the same year they got married. Back then, it was just a small store in the unassuming central Texas college town of Waco. Now, the Magnolia franchise encompasses nearly all of downtown Waco including stores, a restaurant, a coffee shop, and soon a hotel. Of course, Chip and Jo have also achieved worldwide success with their line at Target, numerous TV shows (and now their own network), best-selling books from both Chip and Joanna, and more.
Of course, the Gaines family wouldn't be where they are today without a little show called Fixer Upper, which didn't premiere until 2013. Fixer Upper created the loyal army of fans that Chip and Jo still have today, evident by the transparent turnout at Silobration 2023. Joanna posted a carousel of photos from the weekend-long celebration writing, "Here's to 20 years of Magnolia ✨ Back in 2003, we could have never dreamed of any of this. Grateful for the wonderful memories, the mistakes and mishaps, and all the miracles along the way. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. ❤️"
The photos share a glimpse of the fireworks and confetti over the silos, Chip and Jo sharing an alcohol-free toast with attendees and Joanna kissing Chip on the cheek on a balcony overlooking a performance by folk duo Johnnyswim.
It's clear Joanna is thankful for the fans that made Magnolia what it is today. Here's to the next 20 years of Magnolia!
