Are you ready for another wave of the popular Spanish song “Despacito”?

Singaporean Mandopop singer JJ Lin announced the release of the Mandarin version of global hit “Despacito” via Facebook on Friday (26 Jan), along with the lyrics to the song.

Lin’s version of the original song by Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi has been given a Mandarin title, “Huan huan”, which means “slowly”.

For this new version, Lin sings mostly in Mandarin, while Fonsi performs the original Spanish lyrics.

“Despacito” went viral after popular American singer Justin Bieber released an English collaboration with Fonsi, and the song has also gone on to win Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Latin Grammys.

Earlier in the week, Lin announced his new concert tour “Sanctuary” will begin in March.
