21 Aug – Jinny Ng says that she had never gone on to become a singer so that she could be the top star of her record label, but that it was her passion in music that led her to the career in the industry.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who sat down for a radio interview with DJ Terry Leung, shared that she felt safe when she started earning money through her performances and songs and was able to support her family, and was not particularly ambitious when it comes to her position in the company.
"I joined the industry because I like to sing. I never had any other goal when it comes to that," she said.
When the topic of her supposed rivalry with Voice Entertainment's new top star Hana Kuk came up, Jinny said that she never cared about status in the first place.
"When I made my debut, Fala Chen and Linda Chung were also in the same company. At the time I was accused of trying to steal the top artiste position. Now it is said that someone is going to "steal" my position, which makes me very confused," she said.
Jinny stated that people often ask her about her relationship with Hana, and that she would always tell them that the two of them are fine with each other.
"I greet her kindly when we meet, but I don't really know her in private. I think it's unnecessary to pretend to be familiar one another," she said.
