3 Oct – Jing Boran admitted that being the youngest in the cast of "The Climbers" made him the beloved little brother to his other co-stars in the movie.
As reported on Wenweipo, the 30-year-old actor, who appeared at the promotional event of the new movie recently, shared that some of the cast members were very caring towards him throughout filming, and would always express their concern for him.
Co-star Zhang Yi explained that Jing would try to do his very best for the movie that he would sometimes over-exert himself.
"Once, I asked him if he wanted to go to hospital, and he said no. He never complained. When he came back later on, he looked very pale, but insisted on filming," he said.
Said Jing, he was just very grateful to have been given a chance to work in the movie with some of the most respected names in showbiz, like Wu Jing, Zhang Ziyi, and Hu Ge and wanted to prove his worth.
"From being a singer to working as an actor in many years, I am just so happy to be able to work with these seniors. I believe that with hard work and persistence, nothing is impossible as long as you are willing to climb," he said.
Based on a true story, "The Climbers" revolves around the Chinese mountaineering team who successfully climbed Mount Everest from the northern slope in May 1960.
