Jimmy Au on living near first coronavirus victim: I'm fine!

6 Feb – Hong Kong actor Jimmy Au recently assured that he is fine, following reports that a 39-year-old man diagnosed with Coronavirus living in his residential area has died from the infection - making it the first death case in Hong Kong.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was revealed to live in Whampoa Garden in Hung Hom, where the victim was also residing, stated that the man's home is not that close to his own.

"I am already taking extra precaution and making sure that I pay attention to my personal hygiene. I would also disinfect my house, so there is no need to worry," he said.

Jimmy also expressed hope that the epidemic will soon pass, and that everybody will take care of their health as well.

Asked if he has done enough to ensure his house is clean and safe, Jimmy joked that he previously played an alien in "Come Home Love: Lo and Behold" and still has the costume and helmet.

"I can always use the costume if there is no face mask around," he jested.
