Jim Paredes' daughter takes a break from social media
5 Apr – Daughter of singer-songwriter Jim Paredes, Erica Paredes is taking a break from social media following her father's viral sex video scandal.
As reported on Inquirer, on 2 April, the younger Paredes, who is a chef in Paris who enjoys sharing photos of her travels and various delicacies online, posted a now-deleted Instagram Story stating that social media was not as fun "as it used to be".
"I had an outpour of love and support in my inbox this morning. We are dealing with it. Just want life to go back to normal already. Whatever that really means in my not normal life," she wrote.
On 1 April, Jim Paredes confessed to being the person in a sex video that recently went viral, after having denied it earlier.
"The video was real. It was private, and not meant for public consumption. I do not know how it became public. I can only surmise that in this ugly season of toxic politics, muckrakers determined to neutralize my influence by violating my privacy and digging up dirt on me are at work," he added.
