Ha Ji-won wants to meet Chow Yun Fat
22 Nov – Korean actress Ha Ji-won admitted that she is honoured to be given the title of "the female Chow Yun Fat" by Hong Kong director John Woo, and hopes to finally be able to meet Chow in real life.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who appeared at the premiere of her first movie with Woo, "Manhunt", shared that despite being given such a title, she has yet to meet with the Hong Kong superstar - despite the fact that Chow's movies like "A Better Tomorrow" and "The Killer" was a hit in South Korea back in the '80s and '90s.
"Earlier in Shanghai, I saw him from the distance, but I didn't dare to greet him. I hope that he would watch the movie, and next time we can greet each other," she enthused.
Aside from Chow Yun Fat, Ha said that she also hopes to work with comedy auteur, Stephen Chow.
"I really enjoy watching Stephen Chow's movies. Hopefully one day I will get to work with him," she said.
