Jessy Mendiola has moved on from plane incident

10 Dec – Jessy Mendiola revealed that she has already moved on from the 2015 plane incident involving actor Enrique Gil despite getting no personal apology from the actor.

As reported on Rappler, the actress, who was asked about the past incident during the press conference of her new movie, "The Girl in the Orange Dress", stated, "Sometimes things burden you more if you don't let go of it. I am okay now."

"Worse things have happened, and it is obvious that I am happy now. Let's just forget about the past," she said.

However, Mendiola admitted that she did feel disrespected by Gil at the time, although she was unsure whether he was drunk as his camp explained.

"I don't know. He might have been stressed at the time," she said.

Asked if she is willing to work with Gil in future projects, the actress responded, "We'll see."

In the incident that happened in September 2015, Mendiola was reported to have been harassed by a drunken Gil while they were on a plane to London as part of the "ASAP 20s Live in London" show.

According to sources, it was Luis Manzano, who was also a part of the team, who told Gil off and prevented him from further harassing the actress.

It is noted that Gil had previously expressed his apology publicly not only to Mendiola and her then-boyfriend JM de Guzman, but also to everybody from Star Magic, immediately following the incident.
