Jessica Hsuan wants to play the villain

18 Jan – After playing protagonists in many dramas, Jessica Hsuan recently revealed that she hopes to play a villain for a change.

As reported on On CC, the actress, who made her TVB comeback last year through "My Unfair Lady" and "Line Walker: The Prelude", shared recently that she wants to show a different side of her to viewers instead of playing another good girl role.

"I played a villain once in a mainland drama, and it was fun to ruin people's lives every day. I got to do something that I haven't done before," she said.

Jessica said that her next target is to play the baddie in a Hong Kong drama.

"I hope I can play a character that has a big development like Nick Cheung in "Secret of the Heart"," she said, referring to Nick's character Kelvin, who turns from a good-hearted man into a ruthless antagonist throughout the story.

When asked if she is tired of playing a hostage in her dramas, Jessica laughed and said, "I played the victim 26 times. I should be playing the abductor instead."
