Jessica Hsuan prioritises her dog over mainland projects

5 Mar – Jessica Hsuan recently revealed that she would not be accepting any offers for acting projects in mainland China for the time being due to the pandemic.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at a beauty brand event on 4 March, stated that she has to think twice before travelling outside of Hong Kong during this time as it means leaving her dog behind.

"I do think the pandemic situation on the mainland is well controlled, but you still have to go into quarantine before and after and I couldn't just leave my dog that long," she said.

Jessica stated that her family's previous pet dog passed away while she travelled to Japan, and that it had taught her the unpredictability of life.

"I want to spend more time with my 12 year-old dog at home," she added.

The actress need not concern herself with losing mainland projects, as she is well sought after in Hong Kong, having done TV series ("Armed Reaction 2021"), and two new movies ("Back to the Past", "G-Storm") are currently in post production.
