Jessica Alba has pleaded for help in combatting insomnia as the sleep disorder affects her skin.

The L.A.'s Finest actress has opened up about her beauty and skincare regime in an interview with U.S. InStyle magazine, and during the chat, confessed that she often struggles to dose off at night.

"So many nights. I've tried it all, including the Olly Melatonin Gummies and putting my phone away in a drawer before bed," she said, noting that taking a bath can sometimes help her relax.

Jessica went on to share that she uses the Beauty Sleep Resurfacing Serum from her clean skincare brand Honest Beauty to help disguise her tired skin in the mornings.

"To be honest, I struggle with sleep and even when I don't necessarily get my beauty sleep, the Beauty Sleep Resurfacing Serum allows me to wake up looking like I have - it's a nice cheat. But I'm very open to advice on how to get more restful night's sleep!" the 38-year-old stated.

Mother-of-three Jessica also swears by drinking plenty of water, and using a good facial serum, to keep her skin supple and wrinkle-free.

"I like to start off every day by hydrating my skin. When I wake up, I put Honest Beauty Vitamin C Radiance Serum on and then I slather a thick layer of the Hydrogel Cream all over my face," she explained. "I always feel more awake and ready to go when my skin is hydrated first thing in the morning.

"I also love a good cup of coffee, but I try to chug a decent amount of water beforehand - between half a litre and a litre."
