Jerry Yan: My personality is not suitable for reality shows

19 Jul – Jerry Yan recently admitted that his volatile temper is the reason why he never participated in reality shows in the past.

As reported on Epoch Times, the Taiwanese actor recently surprised young stars Vin Chou, Huang Jingyu, and Cheney Chen when he appeared on the reality show, "Let Go of My Baby", prompting Cheney to comment that he had never seen Jerry in a reality show before.

"That is because my personality was not suitable [with such shows]. I was more likely to lose my temper," said Jerry.

The actor then revealed that although he was called Tyrannosaurus because he made his showbiz debut playing the role of Hong Minglong in the 2000 drama, "Spicy Teacher", there is actually another layer to the nickname.

This is not the first time Jerry spoke about his bad temper. In 2011, he admitted to the media that he was in a serious relationship when he was 18, and was left by his girlfriend probably because of his temper.

Nonetheless, fans who watched the show couldn't believe that the actor is a curmudgeon, saying that Jerry looked like the most patient father in the world when he cooked, feed and took care of the children, and played with them on the show.
