Jerrold Tarog is still revising "Darna"
19 Dec – Filmmaker Jerrold Tarog recently admitted that he is "resetting" the "Darna" project, which has already been delayed for more than a year.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the director, who took over following Erik Matti's departure, shared that there hasn't been any new update on the project, and that he is at a stage of revising the original Matti script and doing a rewrite.
"I'll take off from the draft, and from there I need to do a little research, so it's like a reset," he said.
However, Tarog stressed that there will be no changes to the current team, especially lead star Liza Soberano.
"Liza is locked in. I am okay with it. No problem," he said.
Aside from making the character more meaningful, the "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" director also hoped to do some changes in Darna's costume.
"We have to do more for the costumes, something more practical. The previous design is a bit different from what I want to do," he said.
