Jennylyn Mercado denies GMA's intervention

The actress' new movie with Coco Martin couldn't push through due to their hectic schedule

27 Jul - Jennylyn Mercado has denied rumours that her new movie with Coco Martin could not push through due to an intervention from her network.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actress, who is under GMA, has previously starred in a Star Cinema production, owned by rival network ABS-CBN, and would have worked in another Star Cinema project for Metro Manila 2016.

However, the actress revealed recently that the film will not push through due to their hectic schedule.

"It's just not possible," said Mercado, referring to her schedule and Martin's commitment to his long-running series, "Ang Probinsyano".

The actress stressed that her home network has always been supportive of her project outside the station, and that she has never thought about changing her status as a Kapuso star.

Mercado, however, added that she is still interested to work with Star Cinema again in the future, as she cherishes her working experience with the cast and crew of her previous film, "Just the 3 of Us".
