14 Nov – Post-"Friends", Jennifer Aniston has continued making a pretty good run on the big screen. The Hollywood star hasn't forgotten her roots, however, since it was her role as Rachel Green in the popular sitcom that catapulted her to worldwide fame.

The 50-year-old actress is now set to reunite with her fellow "Friends" co-stars for a special reunion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It wasn't specified in what form the reunion will be, it could be a TV movie or a one-episode show, as it is currently reported to be an "unscripted reunion special".

All the six core stars, comprised of Aniston herself, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, are in talks to return for the reunion. Series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman are also in on the discussion for the HBO Max special.

"Friends" stars Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer shared this photo on their
respective social media in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary.

The popular '90s sitcom premiered in September 1994, making this year its 25th anniversary. It enjoyed a 10-year run and ended in 2004 after 10 seasons.

The sitcom undoubtedly left a mark in pop culture and found a new boost of popularity when it was streamed on Netflix. However, that deal expires this year and the sitcom will be moving to HBO Max once the WarnerMedia streaming service launches in Spring 2020.

The last time the "Friends" cast – sans Perry – got together was for a mini reunion in 2016 to honour legendary TV director James Burrows, who helmed several of the show's episodes.
