SINGAPORE — Mandopop superstar Jay Chou was out and and about in Singapore when he was in town recently for his two-night gig at the National Stadium. And he shared the joy with his fans here – the singer treated his fans to drinks and meals wherever he encountered them.

After his first Carnival World Tour concert on Friday night (10 Jan), Chou said on Instagram that he would treat any fans that he bumped into in any restaurant if they said “hi” to him.

The Taiwanese singer made good on that promise on two occasions over the weekend.

On Saturday (11 Jan), he posted photos of himself holding a drink up in a toast at the high-end Atlas Bar in the Bugis area renowned for its opulent decor and vaulted art deco ceilings. “I said yesterday that if you met me, I would treat you to a meal,” he wrote in Chinese. “Today I footed the bill for fans at a few tables at this restaurant. Don’t I keep my word to you?”

The 40-year-old crooner, who is known to have some magic skills, also treated his fans to a trick with a Rubik’s cube in a video:

The next day, on Sunday, Chou footed the bill for a group of diners when he visited the Yi restaurant at Raffles Hotel.

Chou also spent time on a beach in Sentosa with his friends. A regular visitor to Sentosa whenever he is in Singapore, the singer was previously spotted relaxing at a beach on the island with his wife, Taiwanese actress-model Hannah Quinlivan, in August 2018.
