Jay Chou-endorsed 'Asian sandwich' chain to launch in Singapore on 7 July
Snack chain Liang Sandwich Bar – endorsed by Mandopop star Jay Chou – will be opening its first store in Singapore on Saturday (7 July) in basement two of Vivocity mall.
The fast food brand from China, which is also endorsed by Chinese actress Meng Li, serves Taiwanese-style scallion pancakes with toppings such as chicken, ham, cheese and tuna mayo, calling them “Asian sandwiches”.
Its speciality, which is Chou’s favourite menu item, is the Liang Chicken Sandwich, which is filled with smoked chicken breast meat, shredded lettuce, egg crepe and a choice of the chain’s special Liang sauce.
The Vivocity store will be giving out 100 free sandwiches on a first-come-first-served basis on 7 July and 8 July.
Liang Sandwich Bar currently has over 12,000 outlets globally in countries including China, South Korea, Japan, the US and Canada.
