Jason Chan closes down hotpot restaurant

12 Feb – Jason Chan Pak Yu recently confirmed that his hotpot restaurant at Causeway Bay has recently closed down following the expiry of its lease.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer who spoke to the media about the restaurant closing down, stated that this is not the first business of his that ended its run, as the previous two branches in Tsim Sha Tsui have already changed hands in June and July last year.

"I didn't lose any money, because I already received my return of investment. Business has not been good recently, so it's time to close it down," he said.

The hotpot restaurant was originally set up a few years ago as a joint-venture between Jason and actor Chiu King Ho.

On the other hand, Chiu, who also run a Beijing cuisine restaurant, bars and several gymnasiums, shared that his business have been quite affected by the pandemic.

Asked if there were any plans to save the businesses, he said, "Many employees are willing to work together to overcome the difficulties."
