Jason Bateman Gets Spooked in Psycho-Thriller 'The Gift' (Exclusive Trailer)
Under normal circumstances, it’d be lovely to get some extra attention from Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Exodus: Gods and Kings). But in The Gift, Edgerton is a grade-A creep as the overly attentive Gordo.
As seen here in the thriller’s first trailer, Gordo has an axe to grind with Simon (Jason Bateman) that dates back to their high school years. Gordo’s holding onto a horrifying secret that Simon would prefer be kept from his wife, Robyn (Rebecca Hall). As Gordo becomes increasingly unwelcome, Simon gets more unnerved.

The Gift, which also marks Edgerton’s directorial debut, enters theaters July 31.
