Japanese rockers RADWIMPS will be returning to Singapore on 13 August as part of their Asian tour.

The rock band, comprising Yojiro Noda, Akira Kuwahara and Yusuke Takeda, will perform for one night only at the Zepp@BigBox Singapore, said event organiser SOZO in a news release on Monday (28 May).

Drummer Satoshi Yamaguchi will not be performing as he has “halted activities since 2015 due to focal dystonia” – a type of neurological condition.

The Japanese outfit rose to international fame after writing the soundtrack for the award-winning 2016 anime “Your Name”. Their new single “Catharist”, which will be released on 6 June, has been confirmed as CX TV’s 2018 football theme song and will be used during the broadcast of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The band last performed here at a sold-out concert in June 2017. Tickets for the upcoming show, priced from $98 to $128, can be purchased through APACTix.
