Janna Nick on winning Most Popular Star: "This may be the last!"
15 Nov – Winning the Most Popular Star at the Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian was a surprise to even Janna Nick herself, who is contemplating about withdrawing from future competitions.
On 14 November, the actress and social media influencer shared as much in an Instagram post that features her and her three awards - the two others for Most Popular TV Host and Most Popular Movie Actress.
"A blessing/challenge/test? All praises due only to Him. I wanted to run away from popularity, and yet being tested with such victory. Whatever it is, thank you [Janna Nicker] and everybody who voted. This may be the last one. Enough," she wrote.
At the same time, celebrity friends and fans alike expressed their support for the actress, including boyfriend Dini Schatzmann, who wrote, "Whatever it is, it's meant to be for you. You deserve it and will be able to handle what comes with it. I'm so proud of you."
It is noted that Janna's win came with much criticisms online, with some expressing disbelief as to how Janna was able to garner 86 million votes online, which could be the reason why the victory felt bittersweet to the actress.
