Janine Chang is officially the APFF ambassador
24 Jun – Taiwanese actress Janine Chang is now officially the Goodwill Ambassador of the 58th Asia Pacific Film Festival.
As reported on Epoch Times, the news was announced at the press conference of the upcoming festival on 20 June, with Janine expressing her excitement about her appointment.
"This is a really great honour and affirmation for me. I hope that the world will be able to pay attention to Taiwan through this festival," she said.
Speaking to the media at the event, Janine shared that she has been busy developing her career in mainland China for the past few years, and that she has yet to find the right time to accept any offers from Taiwanese productions.
"In the future, I hope to get more challenging roles so that the audience could see something different from me," she said.
On the other hand, when asked if she has talked to Fan Bingbing, who has recently been dragged into a tax evasion scandal, Janine said that she has been keeping in touch with the actress, and assured that the latter has been doing well.
