Jang Ki-Yong to enlist in military soon
27 Jul – It was revealed that Korean actor Jang Ki-Yong is set to enlist in the military.
As reported on UPI, the news was confirmed by Jang's agency, YG Entertainment, which stated that he will be enlisting as an active duty soldier on 23 August after filming his new drama.
"In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the time and location of the enlistment will not be disclosed. This was a decision made to ensure the safety of the media and fans alike, so we appreciate your understanding," the statement read.
Jang is currently filming his drama, "Now We Are Breaking Up" with Song Hye-Kyo. The said drama will be aired on SBS later this year.
His last drama was the tvN series, "My Roommate is a Gumiho" co-starring Lee Hye-Ri.
