Janella Salvador to play mermaid in new movie
7 Apr - Even though it is still too early to prepare for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, it was reported that Regal Films is gearing up for the annual film event with a new movie called, "My Fairy Tail Love Story".
As reported on PEP News, the upcoming new fantasy movie will star Janella Salvador as "a mermaid with high standards" co-starring her onscreen partner, Elmo Magalona.
Salvador described the project as a dream come true, and admitted that she has always been a fan of mermaids since watching the 2004 drama, "Marina", starring Claudine Barretto.
In preparation for the upcoming movie, Salvador shared that she has taken swimming and diving lessons, particularly one that helps her move like a mermaid.
She also revealed that she will not appear topless or cover her body with hair like Marian Rivera in "Dyesebel", saying, "Since I can't be sexy, I will have something like a shell on my body. I am a wholesome mermaid."
As for working with Magalona again, Salvador said that both of them are happy to be given the opportunity, adding that it has been a dream for them to collaborate in a movie.
