Has Jane Zhang reconciled with her mother?

18 Jan – Rumours are rife that Chinese singer Jane Zhang has reconciled with her mother Zhang Guiying, following previous conflict stemming from her decision to marry husband Michael Feng, CEO of Show City Times.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer shared a new mother-daughter photo on Weibo and captioned it, "Like it". It was the first photo she took with Zhang after the conflict that plagued the two of them since she announced her engagement to Michael.

The problem between Jane and her mother sparked as early as October 2016, when Jane's mother made a public statement saying that she is against her daughter's plan to marry Michael, and that she has filed a lawsuit against him.

This comes after it was revealed that Zhang has been removed as a shareholder of the company, despite originally owning 20 percent stake in Show City Times.

Zhang later appeared at Jane's 32nd birthday party, sparking rumours that the two have reconciled following the previous lawsuit.

However, the good times didn't last, as Zhang later revealed that the couple didn't invite her to their wedding in Italy. Jane later announced that she is postponing her wedding banquet in her hometown Chengdu until her mother and Michael reconciled, which ended up with the couple holding no hometown banquet at all.

In late last year, Jane told the media that her relationship with her mother has eased up a bit, although they will need to spend more time together to further understand each other.

She also stated that Zhang and Michael should resolve their conflict on their own, and that she would not try to initiate a truce between them.
