14 Feb – Jake Cuenca recently admitted that he would not have been where he is today without the help of his network, ABS-CBN.

As reported on Push, the actor who spoke about the network's franchise renewal issue at the press conference of the Sandbox Fest 2020, stated that the Kapamilya network helped him back when he had nothing following his transfer from GMA in 2006.

"On my first taping day, I only had P100 in my pocket. I had no gas to go to taping and ABS-CBN has given me this life. So for me, I am loyal to ABS-CBN," he said.

At the same time, Cuenca also expressed concern over the thousands of employees who will be losing their jobs if the network is to be shut down.

"That's 20,000 people employed by ABS-CBN and their jobs are going to be taken away from them. That's people who have been working there for decades, sometimes 15, 20 years. Like me, an actor, we can do movies and we can do theater. We can do a lot of things. But let's imagine the employees who gave their entire life to ABS-CBN. So for me, let's just go through the process. And that's all I have to say about that," he said.
