Jacqueline Wong still needs time after cheating scandal

10 Sep – Hong Kong actress Scarlett Wong is still tight-lipped about sister Jacqueline Wong, who has been MIA since her scandal with married singer Andy Hui.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media during an appearance at a recording of a show, stated that the only thing she can say about Jacqueline is that her sister is currently not in Hong Kong.

"There is nothing for me to comment when it comes to where she is and what she is doing. I hope that everybody will give her some space," she said.

Scarlett also admitted that Jacqueline has her ups and downs when it comes to her emotions.

"She did do wrong. The family was troubled by it and our parents were very worried. But we all work hard and face the situation bravely. We have strengthened our relationship in the process and the family is more united than ever," she said.

Asked if her sister will return to Hong Kong in the future, Scarlett stated that she is unsure of Jacqueline's plans.

"When she is ready, she will come back and face everyone," she said.

As to whether she herself would feel any awkwardness in seeing Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, or TVB actor Kenneth Ma, Scarlett said that she never thought about it that much.

"If this happens, ask me on that day and I will tell you. But I wouldn't avoid them," she said.
