Jack Riley Dies: ‘Bob Newhart Show’ Regular & Mel Brooks Film Actor Was 80

Jack Riley, a regular on The Bob Newhart Show and veteran of several Mel Brooks films who also voiced a popular Rugrats character, died today. He was 80. Riley’s reps confirmed the news to Deadline, but no cause of death was provided.

Along with playing the neurotic Elliot Carlin on Bob Newhart and appearing in Brooks films including High Anxiety and History of the World, Part I, the Cleveland native voiced Stu Pickles on Nickelodeon’s Rugrats and its follow-up series All Growed Up!
