10 Aug – Iza Calzado recently admitted that her upcoming birthday will be the most meaningful one in her life, now that she has survived COVID-19.
As reported on Rappler, the actress who sat down for an online interview to promote her upcoming series, "Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin", stated that she is grateful to be alive and see herself turning 38 on 12 August.
"I am thankful. The fact that you're talking to me now, the fact that I'm still here is something I am grateful for every day, apart from this show being given a green light," she said.
Speaking about the drama, which was among the many ABS-CBN series whose fate hung in the balance earlier following the network shutdown, Calzado stated that everybody has been through a lot and is glad that the show is finally seeing the light of day.
"I think we discussed this in a town hall meeting of our show, within the cast, that it seems like we were chosen by God. That was the feeling, especially since we'll be the first on this new platform," she said.
The series, which co-stars Jodi Sta Maria, Maricel Soriano, and Sam Milby, will be premiering on the Kapamilya Channel on 17 August.
