Ivanka Trump on Wednesday said she "has no reason to doubt" the five women who have accused Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual misconduct.

Moore, the Republican candidate for Senate in Alabama's December special election, has been accused of making sexual advances toward teenage girls when he was in his thirties.

“There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children," Trump told the Associated Press. I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts.” She stopped short, however, of calling for Moore to drop out of the race.

Last week, the Washington Post reported that Moore had pursued sexual relationships with teenage girls - one as young as 14 years old - when he was an assistant district attorney in Etowah County, Alabama. Another accuser detailed similar allegations in an emotional press conference on Monday, claiming that when she was 16, Moore tried "to force my head onto his crotch." Moore was also reportedly banned from a local mall because he wouldn't stop badgering teenage girls. In the wake of the allegations, a slew of Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have called for Moore to step aside. (Moore denies any wrongdoing.)

President Trump has yet to weigh in on the controversy; he ignored a shouted question after a speech on Wednesday about whether Moore should drop out.
