Ivan Ho leaves radio show to enjoy life
18 Jun – After seven years of hosting the RTHK show, "Happy Daily", veteran radio and TV personality Ivan Ho has finally left the programme.
As reported on Mingpao, the 77-year-old who appeared at the farewell party held by his colleagues at the station, shared that he will officially leave the show in August following the FIFA World Cup.
Said Ho, "The station has been good to me, but I have already planned to halt my work in the second half of 2018. There is no special reason. I just want to experience the freedom."
Ivan shared that he plans to go back to Canada to accompany his wife Grace.
"We plan to go to see the Northern Lights in September, and go on a long trip in November," he said.
When asked if he plans to officially retire from showbiz, Ivan said that it was not part of his plans - that he just wants to see whether he is able to live without having to work.
"I have never stopped, regardless when I was with ATV, TVB, or the radio. It has been 30 years. I love to learn, but I don't want to limit myself through my job," he added.
