23 Jul – Irene Wan recently revealed that she is currently trying to get Louis Koo to star in her new production, "Beyond Love in Kyoto" (working title).
As reported on Mingpao, the actress-producer who is set to star in the new movie, shared that not only is the actor her director's first choice for the lead role in the film, she herself would also like to work with him again.
"We collaborated in "Against the Blade of Honour" 23 years ago, but at the time, my dad just passed so I was quite emotional and didn't get to enjoy the cooperation as much," she said.
Irene also praised the actor as a loyal and caring person who has been silently helping others throughout his career.
On the other hand, when speaking of her other dream collaborations, the actress stated that she would love to work with filmmaker Wong Kar Wai in the future.
"I did receive an audition offer for "As Tears Go By" in the past, but couldn't do it because of scheduling conflict. I really missed the opportunity. Wong is very talented and a director I admire the most," she said.
