Irene Wan decides to forgo Osaka Asian Film Festival

6 Mar – Irene Wan recently revealed that she has cancelled her plans to attend the 15th Osaka Asian Film Festival, which begins its run today.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress whose new movie "The Fallen" was selected as part of the festival's "Special Focus on Hong Kong 2020", stated that she was originally scheduled to attend the Q&A segment for the said movie.

However, with the said event itself cancelled, Irene and her team decided that there is no reason to go.

"I would stay in Hong Kong to promote the film. It is scheduled to be released in mid-April, but it will be depended on the progress of the pandemic," she said.

On the other hand, Jennifer Yu, the star of "Four Times Four" will be attending the festival as scheduled.

The 15th Osaka Asian Film Festival recently announced that it will proceed with its film screenings, although all of its public events including the award presentation and meet and greet sessions have been cancelled.
