26 Mar – With her new movie "Ulan" in theatres, director Irene Villamor recently revealed that she is currently preparing for another project.
As reported on Push, the director, who spoke to the media about her future work, shared that her upcoming film will be another addition in the romance genre, but that it remains a secret for now.
"It will always be romance. It seems like my genre. It's just exciting and it's what the producers want," she said with a laugh.
However, Villamor admitted that she is always looking forward to look at the genre differently and reinvent it.
"My idol is [Hollywood director] Richard Linklater and his "Before" trilogy. So I think that there should be more, something that is still to be done," she said.
Among Villamor's popular romance films include "Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story" and "Meet Me in St. Gallen".
