Valentine’s Day is now a distant memory, but lots of us are still feeling the sting from not having anyone to buy us a well-deserved bouquet.

Though it’s no secret that you don’t need to wait for a partner in order to smell the fresh, uplifting scent of spring blooms, most places seem to angle their offerings toward the idea of love - plus it can feel a little self-indulgent to bag some buds for yourself.

Luckily, Interflora are putting V-Day behind them and looking to the future of flower giving with a new initiative that’s all about single people (finally), with their brand new ‘self-partnered’ bouquet collection – the first of its kind in the UK – to encourage single people to send flowers to themselves.

The self-partnered bouquets are designed for single people who want to congratulate themselves on getting a promotion, beating their 10km PB, or to send themselves a gift ‘just because’ (our favourite).

The best bit is, it still feels like a surprise gift because Interflora create the bunch for you based on your personal preferences.

The process is pretty simple: just visit the Interflora website, answer a few questions about what you like, and you’ll be matched with your perfect bunch of flowers.

There are five different bouquets within the collection that you can be matched with and each design features stems with special meaning.

And clearly ones for a theme, Interflora have taken it one step further as each bouquet is inspired by one of five single celebs who are redefining what it means to be single in 2020; Emma Watson, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Selena Gomez.

“We want to empower singles to treat themselves. Just because you’re not in a relationship, doesn’t mean certain experiences should be off-limits,” says Interflora’s bouquet design manager, Vicky Wilson.

“That includes receiving a beautiful bouquet of mood-boosting flowers. Our new self-partnered collection is perfect for those who believe that the most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves.”
