Everybody’s raving about South Korea’s wedding of the year and honestly, we can’t get enough of it either. Like one social media post said, “This looks like the final episode of Descendants of the Sun!”.

Well, judging by the massive media and fan attention that the wedding of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo has been getting, we can’t help but agree.

Ever since the wedding took place on Tuesday (31 Oct), what seemed like an endless stream of photos and videos has been leaked by fans on social media, showing insights to the private wedding.

Such insights include a closer view of the outdoor garden, where the ceremony took place, the ballroom, where the after-party took place, as well as a closer look at Song’s dress and wedding ring.

According to South Korean media Yonhap, about 300 guests had attended the wedding, which took place at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul. The guests included Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi as well as the cast of variety show “Running Man”.

Meanwhile, the after-party saw live performances by singer Park Hyung-sik, from South Korean group ZE:A, and singer Ock Joo Hyun, who sang “A Whole New World”, a soundtrack from popular Disney animation “Aladdin”. The pianist behind these performances was popular actor Park Bo-gum, who is a close friend of Song Joong-ki.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the wedding:

The wedding invitation

The wedding invitation was a simple white card containing the relevant details of the event along with a romantic quote, that said, “Finally found the right person we have been waiting for a long time. Please come and share with us on this joyful day your wisdom and courage that you’ve learned along the journey of your life. Your enlightenment will guide us to walk through our own adventure.”

The dress

According to Apple Daily, Song Hye-kyo wore a custom-made wedding gown by French fashion brand Christian Dior. It was inspired by one of the pieces from its Fall 2017 couture collection. The original piece is in black and has no lace trims along the neckline.

The ring

Song Hye-kyo’s wedding ring looked very similar to a piece from Chaumet’s “Bee My Love” collection. Something tells us that this might be the “it” ring for K-drama-loving brides in 2018.

The rides

The road outside The Shilla Hotel in Seoul was lined with some pretty grand rides that consisted of at least four limousines, a Range Rover and a Maserati.

After-party

Guests danced through the night at the wedding’s after-party, which saw performances by South Korean singers Ock Joo Hyun and Park Hyung-sik. Images showing the Song-Song couple having a good time dancing were also leaked.

And of course, images of Park Bo-gum on the piano have been leaked too:
